Ethiopia, in the Horn of Africa, is a rugged, landlocked country split by the Great Rift Valley. With archaeological finds dating back more than 3 million years, it’s a place of ancient culture. Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world. In the long and disturbed history of the African continent, Ethiopia remains the only country which has never been colonized. The fossils of the oldest once-living humans or "Lucy" were discovered in the the northern section of Ethiopia marking it the place of beginning of humankind.
